Rugby Canada is pleased to announce an exciting series of International events being held in Canada in 2013.
This year promises to be one of the busiest years in recent history. Canada is participating in the Pacific Nations Cup, a 5-nation single round robin championship, and will be hosting the following matches:
Canada vs. USA - May 25, 2013 - Ellerslie Rugby Partk, Edmonton, AB Canada vs. Fiji - June 5, 2013 - Twin Elm Rugby Park, Ottawa, ON Canada vs. Tonga - June 8, 2013 - Richardson Stadium, Kingston, ON
Following the Pacific Nations Cup, Canada will take on world #9 ranked Ireland at BMO Field in Toronto, ON on June 15, 2013.
In August,Canada starts its Rugby World Cup qualification matches with home and away matches against the USA ( Charleston, South Carolina on August 17 and Toronto on August 24), with the winner qualifying for Rugby World Cup 2015, the loser having a second shot at qualifying playing in a repechage round in the fall of 2013. In October, Rugby Canada once again hosts the 4-nation Americas Rugby Championship (Argentina, USA, Canada and a second South American country yet to be confirmed) in Langford, BC, followed by hosting the Maori All Blacks in Toronto on November 3, 2013.
